Obituary of John Andrews

John Andrews, age 82, of Trumbull, beloved husband of Paula Renzo Andrews, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 18, 2026 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family. Born on March 1, 1944 in Samandag-Hatay, Turkey, he was a son of the late Yusuf and Hilen Uyar

A hard-working man, John along with his partner, John Keklik, operated John's Asphalt for over 40 years. He was proud to have provided professional service to countless customers in Fairfield County. He could often be found in his yard tending to his garden and landscape of the yard. Along with his wife and family, John loved traveling to Aruba, a tradition which lasted over 20 years.

But above all thing in life, family was the most important to John and he provided nothing but the best for his family. His loved when his children and grandchildren were by his side creating memories to last a lifetime. He will be deeply missed.

In addition to his beloved wife of 53 years, Paula, survivors include his four loving children, John Andrews and his wife Ana, Joseph Andrews and his wife Naomi, Paula Valle and her husband Orlando and Layla Pellegrino and her husband John, his eight cherished grandchildren, Alexa, Corrinne, J.J., Alyssa, Melina, Elena, Orly and Bella, a brother, Cevdet Uyar and his wife Yememi, two sisters, Frieda Ozdemir and her husband George and Hanni Eftin, as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. directly in St. Nicholas Antiochian Orthodox Church, 5458 Park Ave., Bridgeport, CT 06604, with the Very Reverend Father Ramanos Malouf celebrating. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Wednesday morning from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. directly in the church.
