Obituary of Molly George

"The Lord will guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought, and strengthen your bones."

— Isaiah 58:11

Molly was born on May 23, 1959, in Cherpunkal, into the Vadakhethottil family. She was the daughter of Kurian and Thresiayamma Vadakhethottil. Molly grew up with one brother, the late Baby Vadakhethottil, and three sisters: Ancy Joy Puthiyaveettil, Aliyamma Mathew Karikulathil, and Shyni James Chamakkalayil.

On February 21, 1982, she married I. K. George Illimootil, beginning a loving partnership that would span decades. Together they were blessed with two children, Jomy and Jobin. As her family grew, Molly lovingly welcomed another son, Jojo, and another daughter, Deepa, into her life.

In addition to being a devoted wife and mother, Molly dedicated decades of her life as a nursery school teacher. She lovingly introduced countless children in Cherpunkal to their first letters, helping shape the foundations of their education with patience, care, and affection. For many families in the village, "Molly Teacher" was their children's very first guide in learning, and her influence will be remembered for generations.

One of Molly's greatest joys has been her family. She is a proud and devoted grandmother to four beautiful grandchildren: Alyssa, Jett, Nila (Kunji), and Neil (Kicha), each of whom holds a special place in her heart.

Throughout her life, Molly has been cherished for her love, kindness, unwavering faith, and dedication to her family. Her legacy is reflected in the lives of those she has nurtured, guided, and loved, and she remains a source of inspiration and blessing to all who know her.
