Obituary of Sandra Ann Bike

Sandra Ann Bike, 84, of Stratford, Connecticut, passed away peacefully at home on May 25, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on April 27, 1942, at Bridgeport Hospital, she was the cherished daughter of Stanley and Sally (Zyla) Washburn.

Sandy was a lifelong Stratford resident whose warmth, strength, and caring nature touched everyone who knew her. She dedicated many years of hard work to Sikorsky Aircraft, where she later retired from. Sandy enjoyed sewing, gardening, decorating, and taking on home improvement projects. Her creativity, generous heart, and unwavering devotion to her family were at the center of everything she did. Sandy's greatest joy was her family and pets.

She leaves behind her five loving children: Sally Balis (Danny Sherwood), Jacqueline Bratchell (Tommy), John Bike (Tracy), Stanley Bike (Beth), and Jesse Bike (Colleen). She was a proud grandmother to Ryan Balis (Laurie), Ashley Cataldo (Tony), Samantha Bratchell (Fiancé Rob Schryver) Kylie, John John, Maddie, Jenna (Fiancé Jack Cunningham), Tory, Julia, Melissa, Jesse, and Amanda Bike. She was also blessed with five adored great-grandchildren: Jayce, Ava, Kash, and Kodi Cataldo, and Jason Gagner. She is also survived by her loving brother James Washburn (Barb), her two nephews Jim and Jeff, many cousins, and two cherished friends Pat DeBernardo and Doris Delvecchio. We would like to thank our family friend Eva Kotuckova for taking great care of our mom during this time. Sandy was beautiful inside and out, her spirit will continue to live on in all those who loved and knew her.

All are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated on Friday, May 29, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. directly in Our Lady of Grace Church, 497 Second Hill Lane, Stratford. Interment will be private. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd. Trumbull, CT.
