Dr. C, as Billy and our best friends called him as kids growing up in Weston, was a great dad and a tremendous person anyone could meet. I was fortunate to spend a lot of time with him, along with Sandy and the family for many years at their happy and welcoming house on Codfish Lane.
I will always remember him as a passionate, intelligent, athletic, and caring person. Dr. C helped to inspire all of us to be the best we could be in his own unique ways.

To the entire Cappello family...
I am deeply saddened to hear of Dr. John's passing. A beautifully written tribute to him that describes his life perfectly. I have many childhood memories of him that are etched in my mind. I always enjoyed my visit to the dentist, because the only thing that hurt was my stomach from laughing from all the entertainment provided. The memorial day picnics at his father-in law's, (Uncle Bill and Aunt Jo)...in cahoots with his brother-in laws, just making us laugh all day. I learned the art of giving the hotfoot from him at these gatherings, his poor father was always the victim while napping in a lounge chair. And finally, again with assistance, hoisting my sister in a chair above his head at her wedding and dancing to the band. It was all so good. He is now together with his beloved Sandy, and will rest in love and eternal peace. Dr C., you will never be forgotten.

MY Condolence to the Cappello Family and may John RIP. I knew John as a friend and my Dentist for over 55 years and there was many fun times playing golf and going on vacation with the Trumbull Italian club. There was never a dull moment when with John as a dentist or as your friend. God bless the Cappello Family.

The wonderful Dr Cappello was our dentist while growing up. The obituary truly describes what a great man and dentist he was. We lived down the street and I never dreaded going to him. We are delighted to now be patients of Dr. William Cappello who possesses many kind qualities of his dad. Rest in heavenly peace Dr. Cappello..until we meet again.

Dr capello was my dentist for my entire childhood. We were related (somehow) as my mother’s family also grew up in the Hollow. I remember his famous ‘treasure chest” of tiny toys that you could choose from after a visit. And the trove of Highlights magazines in his waiting room. He was a kind gentle man. He will be missed
