Obituary of Linda E. Yannotti

Linda E. (Stella) Yannotti, age 76, of Monroe passed away peacefully on Friday, February 20, 2026 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of James Yannotti. Born in Bridgeport on April 28, 1949 she was a daughter of the late Vincent J. and Maria (Tartaglia) Stella. Linda worked for General Electric as an executive secretary for many years before her retirement. She enjoyed sewing and looked forward to attending Broadway shows with her girlfriends who shared similar interests. Linda spent countless hours as a volunteer at hospice for over 18 years. She loved animals and treasured the four Afghan dogs she rescued.  A loving and devoted wife, sister, aunt, godmother and friend to many, she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her beloved husband James of 48 years, other survivors include her brother, Vincent J. Stella, Jr and his wife Janine of Trumbull, her sister, Francine M. Smith and her husband Kenneth of Derby, her brother-in-law, Louis Yannotti and special nieces and nephews, Anthony J. Smith and his wife Pam, Michael C. Smith and his wife Lindsey, Kristen M. (Smith) Gionfriddo and her husband John, Vincent J. Stella III, Michelle L. Stella, Anthony J. Stella, Christopher M. Stella and Nicholas Yannotti as well as several great nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. meeting directly in St. Stephen Church, 6948 Main St., Trumbull. Interment will be held privately in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. There will be no calling hours.
