Obituary of Edward Kusinski Sr.
Edward Kusinski, Sr. age 83 of Trumbull, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 4, 2026 at Bridgeport Hospital with his loving family at his side. He was the devoted husband of the late Barbara Duch Kusinski. Born in Bridgeport on August 10, 1942, Ed was the son of the late Bronislaw and Julia (Olszewski) Kusinski and was a longtime Trumbull resident.
Ed's greatest joy was spending time with his family. He took great pride in his grandchildren and their accomplishments. Throughout his life he was a loving caregiver for his mother and his wife.
Ed spent countless hours on Long Island Sound fishing and boating with family and friends. He was an avid woodworker, often building furniture and cabinets for those he knew. A true do-it-yourself kind of guy, he never turned down a project. He approached everything he did with careful attention to detail and took pride in doing things the right way. Ed generously taught these skills and passions to his sons, who now proudly share them with their children.
He leaves behind two sons, Edward Kusinski, Jr. and his wife Lynn and Ben Kusinski and his wife Amy and four cherished grandchildren, Julianna, Emily, Lauren and Joshua. Also survived by his sister, Barbara Gorlo and a niece, Lenore Burzynski. He was predeceased by a sister, Eleanor Rak and a nephew, Greg Gorlo.
Friends may greet the family on Friday, January 9, 2026 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
