Obituary of Varujan Temelsiz

Varujan Temelsiz, age 72, of Stratford, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 26, 2025 in Touchpoints at Manchester. Born in Istanbul, Turkey on February 9, 1953, he was a son of the late Avedis and Sultan (Tekiroglu) Temelsiz and was a longtime resident of Stratford. Varujan graduated from the Istanbul Technical University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He enjoyed playing baccarat and was an avid fan of professional soccer and basketball. His greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his family. The bond of love, care and support each provided to one another will always be remembered. Survivors include a brother, Alex Temelsiz and his wife Carol of Stratford, a sister, Anayis Tilkici of Fethiye, Turkey and four nieces and nephews, Jacquelyn and Alexander Temelsiz of Stratford and Aydin and Nursultan Tilkici of Fethiye, Turkey. He was predeceased by a brother, Bogos "Paul" Temelsiz. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. at the Armenian Church of the Holy Ascension, 1460 Huntington Turnpike, Trumbull. Friends may greet the family at the church from 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow in Park Cemetery, Bridgeport. Arrangements are in care of the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
