Obituary of Antonia Lisi

Antonia (Gesuale) Lisi, age 90, of Bridgeport passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 30, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Biaggio Lisi. Born on June 20, 1935, in Ripi, Province of Frosinone, Italy, Antonia was the daughter of the late Francesco and Rosa (Rotondi) Gesuale. After immigrating to Bridgeport in 1966, she worked for Levine Company, Rosa’s Dress Company, and later at the Jewish Community Center, where she spent many years. Antonia loved walking and was an exceptional gardener. She enjoyed teaching her grandchildren how to make her famous chiabellas, gnocchi, and holiday soup. Above all, her heart belonged to her family. Known for her generosity, selflessness, and ability to make everyone feel special, she found her greatest happiness in caring for her loved ones.

A special thank you to the CHF Clinic and 6th Floor South staff at St. Vincent’s Medical Center, who affectionately referred to her as “Nonna,” treating her with the utmost compassion and warmth.

Antonia leaves behind her devoted children: Maria Rocchi, Pierino Lisi and his wife Darlene, and Michelle Ciocca; her beloved grandchildren: Linda Diker (Joseph), Alex Rocchi (Dana), Dylan Lisi (Asia), Monica Sanchez (Kevin), Morgan Lisi, and Angelo Ciocca; her adored great grandchildren: Nadia Diker, Jonathan Diker, Gianna Rocchi, Charlotte Lisi, Violet Lisi, and Alessia Sanchez. She is also survived by her siblings: Silverio Gesuale (Gabriella), Luisio Roberti (Anna), Adelia Rossi, and Iolanda Cervini, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Antonia was predeceased by her son, Frank Lisi, her son-in-law, Enzo Rocchi, and her sister, Lydia Rossi.

Antonia will be remembered for her unwavering love, her boundless generosity, and the remarkable strength she carried with humility and grace. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
