Obituary of Dominick J. Alberici Sr.

Dominick J. Alberici, Sr., age 83 of Shelton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 27, 2025, at the Connecticut Hospice with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of the late Lucille (Plunkett) Alberici. Born in Brooklyn, New York on December 7, 1941, he was the son of the late Natale and Anna (Genovese) Alberici.

Dominick will be remembered as a devoted husband, a proud father, and a loving grandfather. He found great joy in traveling to several US cities with his wife, Lucille, treasuring every moment. Dominick was a classic movie lover and had abundant collection of DVDs, each one a window into stories he loved. His passion for music filled his days, especially the voices of Elvis Presley, Engelbert Humperdinck, Elton John, and Queen. He also had a special fondness for working on older cars, finding satisfaction in bringing them back to life. Dominick's many interests reflected a life lived with curiosity, joy, and heart, and he will be deeply missed.

Dominick attended Andrew Jackson High School in Cambria Heights, New York. He was a volunteer ambulance driver for College Point Ambulance Corp in College Point, New York from 1970-1975. He worked at Norwalk Hospital as a mechanic for over 14 years. Dominick also worked for Community North Hospital, Indianapolis in maintenance for 6 years. He retired in 2007 to spend time with his family.

Survivors include a loving son, Dominick Alberici, Jr. and his wife Kathryn, a brother, John Alberici and his wife Yolanda Guevara and two cherished grandchildren, Christina Alberici and Michael Alberici as well as a daughter-in-law, Cheryl Byrne, with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by a daughter, Lisa Ann Alberici.

Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends and relatives may call on Saturday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
