Obituary of Bradford Thompson Heines

Bradford Thompson Heines passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his closest family on November 3, 2025. Born on July 24, 1964 in Summit, New Jersey, he was a devout Catholic and loving husband, father, and grandfather.

He is survived by his beloved wife Teresa Gucwa Heines, daughters Mareta Kaitlin Arena, Sarah Heines, and Cassandra Giuliani, sons Stasiu Gucwa, Angelo Arena, Bobby Giuliani and Matthew Hunt. He was blessed with four grandchildren: Carmine and Gianna Arena, and Matteo and Marco Giuliani. His sisters Susan Loyd (Dave Loyd), Barbara Turner (Steve Turner), and brother Richard Heines (Carolyn Heines), bestest buddies Eileen Fagan and Dan Fagan were always by his side. In addition to being survived by his nieces and nephews: Nicholas and Benjamin Rickel, Trevor and Amanda Loyd, Jamie, Megan, and Christine Turner, Lucy and Molly Heines, Sophia, Daniel, Amanda, Hannah, Victoria and Ricky Fagan. Brad was blessed with the love of his extended Fagan family and Thompson cousins.

Brad was preceded in death by his parents Richard and Helen Heines. His dearest in-laws Edward and Mareta Fagan.

Brad served in the US Navy for fourteen years. He was a Torpedoman on the Von Stuben submarine. He was employed by Nasdaq, News America, and Neptune Marketing Services as a Systems Engineer. He completed his Bachelors at Sacred Heart University and Masters at Fairfield University. He earned his 3rd Degree black belt in the Tang Soo Do Mi Guk Kwan alongside his daughters Mareta Kaitlin and Sarah. He was an avid music lover and played the double bass. Brad loved to play soccer, wrestle, hike, watch Bugs Bunny and The Simpsons, and read The Peanuts and Dr. Seuss. He is an award-winning Brew Master, International Tang Soo Do Champion, and loved to vacation with his family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 10, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. directly in St. Margaret Mary Church, 50 Donovan Lane, Shelton. Interment with military honors will follow in Huntington Lawn Cemetery South.

Relatives and friends may greet the family on Sunday, November 9, 2025 from 1 – 4 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
