Obituary of Kurt Lang
Kurt Lang, 75, of Sandy Hook, Connecticut, formerly of Oxford, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2025. Born in Bridgeport to Jason and Dorthea Lang, Kurt was one of five brothers. He was predeceased by his brother Mark and is survived by his brothers Paul, Jeff, and Matt Lang.
Kurt owned and operated Arctic Air Inc., a commercial refrigeration business he led with pride for decades. He built a reputation for honesty, hard work, and always doing things the right way.
He is survived by his wife MaryLou Lang, his son Casey Lang and wife Cortney of Argyle, Texas, and Mitchell Mako, who was like a son to him. He is also survived by MaryLou's children Lynn Santos, Laureen Filomena, and Joseph Santos and his wife Missy, who were family in every way. Kurt was "Papa Kurtie" to Bentley, Parker, Everest, Ryan, Taylor, Bailey, and Owen Lang, and "Kurtie" to the rest of the family. Through MaryLou's family, he is also remembered by Kristina Filomena, Alyssa Filomena, Julianna Mongillo, and Mason Santos. He was predeceased by his first wife, Deborah Corrigan Lang, his parents, and his brother Mark. Debbie was his partner for many years and mother to his son.
Together they built a home full of warmth, good food, and the kind of love that lasts. Kurt loved to cook, turn wrenches, and talk cars. He had a lifelong love of Mopar, a curious streak that led him to collect antique lamps with the Aladdin Knights of the Mystic Light, and two loyal dogs, Lilly and Lucy, who rarely left his side. Per his wishes, there will be no services or fanfare. His family will remember him quietly; in the places he loved most.
At Kurt's request, all funeral services were held privately. Arrangements entrusted to the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. To leave an online condolence please visit www.abriola.com.
