Obituary of Jose Madeira Pascoal

Jose Madeira Pascoal, age 73, of Bridgeport, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 3, 2025 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the devoted husband of Maria Luisa Pinto da Silva Pascoal. Born in Chaves (Faioes), Portugal on June 6, 1952 he was a son of the late Antonio and Virginia (Madeira) Pascoal and has been a longtime resident of Bridgeport. Always working hard to provide a better life for his family, Jose emigrated to the United States and settled in Bridgeport. He loved spending time in his garden and sharing his fresh vegetables with family and friends. He was a member of the Vasco Da Gama Portuguese Club in Bridgeport where he enjoyed spending time with friends watching his favorite soccer team Sporting. Above everything, his greatest joy came from spending time with his family, especially with his grandchildren. Jose was a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. In addition to his beloved wife Maria Luisa of almost 49 years, survivors include a son, Jose Carlos Pascoal, a daughter, Lisa Pires and her husband Antonio Filipe Pires, two cherished grandchildren, Alexandra Pascoal and Alexander Pires, two brothers, Fernando Pascoal and Mario Pascoal and four sisters, Julieta DeOliveira, Zulmira Dos Anjos, Lucilia Morais and Rosa Pascoal as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Candida Pascoal. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 465 Huntington Rd., Bridgeport. Interment will be private. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Tuesday morning from 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
