Obituary of Jonathan Bria
Jonathan Bria, age 43, of Bridgeport, passed away suddenly on Sunday, August 17, 2025, in the comfort of his home. Born in Stamford on December 25, 1981, he was the beloved son of Donna Dascenzo Bria and the late Richard Bria.
Jonathan had an extraordinary gift for making everyone feel loved, valued, and supported. Always ready with a listening ear or a helping hand, Jonathan never hesitated to put others first. He would drop everything to be there for his family and friends, no matter the circumstance. Jonathan was quite the handyman building a word-of-mouth client list. He took immense pride in his work and had many satisfied customers who became friends.
He was a proud and devoted uncle, spending countless hours cheering at hockey practices and games, applauding at dance recitals, and practicing taekwondo moves alongside his niece and nephews. Time with them was his greatest joy, and he cherished every moment.
Jonathan was also a devoted dog owner to his beloved Wally, who brought him endless companionship and joy. Their bond was a reflection of Jonathan's deep capacity for love and loyalty.
Jonathan's life was defined by love, laughter, and loyalty. His generous spirit and unwavering support leave an enduring legacy in the hearts of all who knew him. Though gone too soon, his memory will continue to live on in the countless stories and smiles he gave us.
In addition to his devoted mother, Donna, survivors include his loving sister, Amy Kelly, and her husband, Thomas; his adored nephews and niece, Lucas, Liam, and Lucy Kelly; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.
In addition to his father, Richard, Jonathan was predeceased by his grandparents, John and Shirley Dascenzo, and Francis and Josephine Bria.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. directly in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 200 Shelton Rd., Trumbull. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours.
