Obituary of Frank G. Mangiacapra
Frank G. Mangiacapra, age 76, of Bridgeport passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 26, 2025 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Lynn (Urban) Mangiacapra. Born in Bridgeport on July 19, 1948 he was the son of the late Joseph and Angelina (Jovia) Mangiacapra. Frank had been employed by the State of Connecticut as a toll supervisor for many years and once tolls were removed from the roadways in Connecticut, he furthered his career with the State in other capacities as a health inspector and in social services, where he built many friendships along the way. He was a remarkably gifted and talented drummer and enjoyed playing with various local bands. He was a connoisseur of great Italian food and also enjoyed watching all sports, especially horse racing. A loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother-in-law, cousin and friend of many. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his loving sons, Joseph Mangiacapra and Frank Mangiacapra and his wife Lynn Piccirillo, his cherished grandson, Frank Mangiacapra, Jr., all of Bridgeport and sisters-in-law, Carole Urban of Milford and Barbara Nosal of Nashville, TN.
