Obituary of Ana Joaquina Rondao

Ana Joaquina Costa Rondao, age 90, of Fort Myers, Florida and formerly of Bridgeport, beloved wife of the late Manuel Rondao, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 in Fort Myers, Florida, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Torre, Moreiras, Chaves, Portugal on January 6, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Jose Joaquim Costa and Emilia De Jesus.

Along with her family, Ana immigrated to the U.S. in 1976 settling in Bridgeport and was a retired employee of the City of Bridgeport Schools.

Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and most especially her grandchildren. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother who always put the needs of her family before her own. The unconditional love she gave and the values and traditions she taught, will always live in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed.

Survivors include her two loving children, Louie Rondao and his wife Gina and Connie Partain and her husband David, five cherished and adored grandchildren, Alec and Cole Partain and Natasha, Isabella and Antonio Rondao, two brothers, Adelino Costa and Americo Costa and his wife Silvia, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Manuel, she was predeceased by two brothers, Manuel and Luis Costa, a sister, Maria Gloria Costa Branco, sister-in-laws, Maria Costa and Prazeres Costa, brother-in-law Adelino Branco and nephews Antonio Costa and Americo Branco.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 13, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 429 Huntington Rd, Bridgeport. Interment will follow in the Garden Mausoleum in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Friday morning from 8:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
