Obituary of Roger J. Thibodeau

Roger J. Thibodeau, age 88, of Bridgeport, beloved husband of Phyllis Cedrone Thibodeau, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 1, 2025 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Athol, MA on May 4, 1936, he was a son of the late Joseph and Mary Robichaud Thibodeau.

After high school, Roger moved to CT where he lived with relatives until he was married and started his own family. Being an extremely independent man, he trained as a kitchen and bathroom designer and then opened Cameo Design Center where he spent the rest of his career designing, selling, and installing beautiful kitchens and bathrooms. An avid golfer, he was a longtime member of Mill River country club and a lifetime Red Sox fan!

He was a loving and dedicated husband, father and grandfather. The values he taught will forever live in the hearts of all who knew and loved him and he will be deeply missed.

In addition to his beloved wife of 62 years, Phyllis, survivors include his loving son, Michael Thibodeau, two cherished grandchildren, Michael and Tiffani, as well as several nieces and nephews and many extended family members who branched out from Athol, MA and throughout Connecticut, and beyond. He also leaves his canine companion, Tinker Bell. Roger was predeceased by his loving daughter, Kim Chiaraluce.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 6, 2025 at 10 a.m. directly in St. Andrew's Church, 435 Anton St., Bridgeport.
