Obituary of Frank Lanzante

U. S. Army Veteran Frank Lanzante, age 92, of Trumbull, a retired painter for the City of Bridgeport Housing Authority, died on Monday, February 13, 2006 in St. Josephs Manor. Born in Caserta, Italy on May 21, 1913, he was a son of the late Alessandro and Teresa Vagliviello Lanzante. He was a U. S. Army veteran and a member of the National Guard with 32 years of service. He was a former employee of the Metropolitan Body Co./International Harvester. Mr. Lanzante volunteered for the American Red Cross and was a past member of the American Legion and the Knights of Columbus. He was an avid gardener and also enjoyed winemaking. He was always there to lend a helping hand to friends and family. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Ida Vagliviello Lanzante, three sons, Orlando Lanzante and his wife, Gloria of Fort Myers, FL, Alex Lanzante of Elkhorn, Nebraska, Frank Lanzante and his wife, Dawn of Milford, three daughters, Teresa Dingman of Barstow, CA, Joanne White and her husband, Carl of Las Vegas, NV and Anna Lanzante and her fiance, Steve Piscitelli of Huntington, a brother, Vincent Lanzante of Brooklyn, NY, a sister, Josephine Onasti of Bridgeport, 18 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Thursday, February 16, 2006 at 8:00 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 9:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m.
