Obituary of Blanche Guerrera

Longtime Stratford Resident Blanche Guerrera, age 101, a long time resident of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Patsy Guerrera, died on Thursday, November 2, 2006. Mrs. Guerrera was born on July 24, 1905 in Bronx, New York and as a child lived for several years in Italy. Blanche was an original and the oldest parishioner of St. Mark Church in Stratford. She was known for her excellent cooking and baking skills and always enjoyed serving her family and friends. In addition to her husband, she was pre-deceased by her daughter, Elaine Vitale and brothers, August and Arthur Lombardi. She is survived by her daughters, Rose Kubica and her husband, Robert, Alice Buccitti and her husband, Anthony, Patricia Pray and her husband, Leo, her son, Attorney Anthony Guerrera and his wife, Joan and her son-in-law, Richard Vitale, a sister, Olga Caputo. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff on the second floor of Lord Chamberlain Convalescent Home for their several years of excellent care. Funeral Information Family and friends are invited to meet DIRECTLY in St. Mark Church, 500 Wigwam Lane, Stratford on Monday, November 6, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Family and friends may call on Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
