Obituary of Ann M. Cerino

Ann Mary Cassidy Cerino, age 87, of Stratford, a homemaker, died Sunday, December 26, 2004 at Yale New Haven Hospital. Born in Bridgeport on November 4, 1917 to the late Stephen and Mary Costello Cassidy, Ann recently moved to Atria of Stratford where she met many good friends whom she cherished. She was a former parishioner of St. Charles Church in Bridgeport. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by five brothers, Joseph, John, Raymond, Robert and Francis, a son-in-law and favorite Jai Alai partner, John Vallillo, a special grandson, Raymond Cerino and granddaughter, Jamie Moran and a great-granddaughter, Lisa Cerino. Ann loved children and spent her life teaching her family the ways of the heart and will be sadly missed.

Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Anthony L. Cerino, Sr., six children, Joseph Cerino and his wife, Barbara of Wakefield, Rhode Island, Lucille Ring of Branford, Jackie Vallillo and Dave Craig of Stratford, Anthony L. Cerino, Jr. and his wife, Maureen of Stratford, Anne Spoldi and her husband, Franco of Morgan Hill, California and Carey Moran and her husband, Jim of Shelton, two brothers, Stephen Cassidy of Bridgeport and Richard Cassidy of North Carolina, a sister, Claire Willer of Florida, 21 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and many special nieces and nephews, sisters-in law and brothers-in law. 

Funeral services will take place on Thursday, December 30, 2004 at 9:00 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Lawrence Church, Shelton for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m.
