Obituary of Catherine Petitte

Stratford Resident Catherine Cavallaro Petitte, age 90, of Stratford, died on Friday, October 6, 2006 at the Ludlow Center. Born in Bridgeport on May 29, 1916, she was a daughter of the late Nicholas and Mary Gulli Cavallaro. Along with her husband, they operated Joes Diner of Stratford for many years and she continued to work with her son, Joseph after her husbands retirement. She was a good woman who was loved by all who knew her and will be sadly missed. Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Joseph A. Petitte, three children, Joseph P. Petitte and his wife, June of Fairfield, Patricia Lisi and her husband, Dr. Kenneth Lisi of Trumbull and Linda Petitte and Ray Zegarski of Killingworth, a brother, Anthony Cavallaro and his wife Mary, of Shelton, a sister, Frances Lisi and her husband, George of Stratford, a sisters-in-law, Phil Cassidy, Virginia Mucci and Jenny Ruggiero, seven grandchildren, Rhonda Petitte-Carsten, Lenore Fanali, Dana Ori, Dr. Kristine Lisi, Kara Tuccio, Kate Graham and Melissa Szilagyi, nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, October 11, 2006 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mark Church, Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 to 8 pm.
