Long Time Devon resident Joseph L. Piantidosi, age 85, of Shelton, a retired supervisor for Avco Lycoming, died Tuesday, July 20, 2004 in Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Bridgeport, he was a son of the late Antonio and Asunta Saracino Piantidosi. Mr. Piantidosi was a Devon resident since 1956 before recently moving to Shelton. He was a volunteer for the Dinan Center where he enjoyed taking patients to church on Sundays and a former member of the Milford Senior Center and the Avco Retirees Club. He was the husband of the late Fannie Piantidosi. Survivors include a sister, Margaret Cordone of Stratford, his devoted caretaker, Angelo Maione of Shelton and several nieces and grand nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by a sister, Rose DeLuca and a brother, Louis Piantidosi. Funeral Information Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Ann Church, 501 Naugatuck Ave., Devon on Friday, July 23, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in the Garden Mausoleum of St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Thursday, July 23, 2004 from 5-8 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
