Obituary of Alice M. Giannoni

Alice M. Giannoni, age 92 lifelong resident of Trumbull, and beloved wife of the late John Giannoni, passed away peacefully at the Jewish Senior Services in Bridgeport. Born on January 13, 1926 in Danbury, she was a daughter of the late Elmer and Ada Guidotti Getts. Alice enjoyed playing cards, especially playing her favorite game of pinochle, enjoyed reading, and watching the movie classics. After her retirement, she and her husband, John, immensely enjoyed their time traveling the world together, taking countless trips across America, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. She had also discovered an appreciation for the Opera, including holding season tickets with her husband to the Metropolitan Opera House in New York City. Above all else, Alice loved nothing more than being a grandmother, great grandmother, and spending time with her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend who will be truly missed by all who knew her. Alice is survived by her loving daughter, Gale Miller and her husband Leonard of Trumbull; her adored grandchildren, Todd David Miller and his wife Jill of Easton and Dana Pisinski and her husband John of Trumbull; her cherished great grandchildren, Brandon, Ryan, Grace, and Charlotte; and her sister Beverly Getts of Bridgeport; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband John, she was predeceased by her brothers, Elmer and Richard Getts, and a sister Betty Cots. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to all of her "personal" caregivers, especially Nancy and the Jewish Senior Services staff for lovingly taking care of her. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, April 16, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main Street, Trumbull. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call prior to the Mass on Monday morning from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Kennedy Center, attn: Development Dept., 2440 Reservoir Avenue Trumbull, CT 06611.
