Obituary of Domenica Morgia

Domenica "Mae" DiRenzo Morgia, age 91, of Stratford, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at St. Vincent's Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of James V. Morgia. Born in Bridgeport on February 6, 1927 she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Giovanina Settenery DiRenzo. A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, whose life was dedicated to the care of others, her love and devotion to family knew no bounds. A more caring and unpretentious soul will never be found. Mae will be missed by all who knew and loved her. In addition to her beloved husband of nearly 66 years, James, other survivors include her loving children, Jeanine Sansone and her husband Gene of Lake Forest, CA, Rina Malfettone and her husband John of Trumbull, Albert Morgia and his wife Debbie of Milford, Joan Clark and her husband Frederick of Stratford and James J. Morgia and his wife Ana Paula of Trumbull, ten cherished grandchildren, Alison Morgia, John James Malfettone, John Paul Sansone, Michael Malfettone, Joseph Malfettone, Marissa Faford, Jenessa Sansone, Jameson Sansone, Matthew Malfettone, Gabriel Morgia and her great granddaughter, Aya Malfettone. She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Alicia Morgia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Margaret Shrine, 2523 Park Ave., Bridgeport. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may greet the family on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
