Obituary of Michael J. Conway

Michael Joseph Conway, age 85, beloved husband of Lorraine Jarusinsky Conway of Easton, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Brooklyn, New York on February 5, 1932, he was a son of the late Michael J. Conway and Annabella McVeety Conway and was a U.S. Air Force veteran. Michael worked as a marketing manager for Combustion Engineering for 25 years and most recently as an executive director for the Fairfield County Medical Association until his retirement. Michael was an avid stamp collector and loved to travel. He also enjoyed working for the nonprofit organizations SCORE and the Mercy Learning Center. In addition to his wife Lorraine of 20 years, he is survived by his children, Michael Conway and his wife Cathy of Dublin, OH, Kevin Conway and his wife Beth of Portage, MI, the Hon. Bernadette Conway and her husband the Hon. Frank Iannotti of North Haven, Brian Conway of Madison, AL, Thomas Conway and his wife Gail of Monroe and Mark Conway and his wife Wendy of Amherst, NH, brothers, Neil Conway of Brooklyn, NY and Joseph Conway and his wife Pat of Staten Island, NY, sisters, Sr. Maureen Conway of New Hyde Park, NY, and Roseanne Cronin and her husband Jerry of Brentwood, NY, a sister-in-law, Eileen Conway of Brooklyn, NY, sixteen grandchildren, one great grandchild, three step sons and five step grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. Michael was predeceased by his first wife, Elizabeth Gilboy Conway and a brother, John Conway. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, January 13, at 10:00 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull and at 10:30 a.m. in Notre Dame Church, 655 Moorehouse Rd., Easton, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield. Friends may call on Saturday morning from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
