Obituary of Brenna A. McMenamey

Brenna A. McMenamey, age 23, of Trumbull, passed away suddenly on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport on February 5, 1994, she was the daughter of Robert and Maureen McMenamey of Trumbull. She was employed by People's United Bank in Westport, CT. Although her life was short, she touched many lives including many animals especially her dog Sara. She was a very compassionate person and she brought joy to everyone she met. She will always be remembered for her bright smile and infectious laugh. She had a tremendous passion for reading and writing which she loved to share with others. Brenna was a lifelong resident of Trumbull. She was a graduate of Trumbull High School and received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and Journalism from the University of Connecticut.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by two brothers, Colin and Patrick McMenamey and paternal grandparents, William and Shirley McMenamey Jr. of Trumbull, aunts and uncles, Cathy and Joe DeCarle of Monroe, Patricia and Paul Carpenter of Easton, William and Anne McMenamey III of Trumbull, Shaun and Suzanne McMenamey of Wilton, Mary Pat and Todd Burr of Fairfield, Mark Montgomery of Fairfield, Margo and Rick Sheldon of Shelton, Katie and Chris Parisi of Fairfield, Krissy and Tom Spisak of Fairfield and Rebecca and Jay Pittorino of Massachusetts. She was one of many cousins who will miss her dearly. She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, John Ward and Joan Montgomery. She will be sadly missed by all.

Friends are invited to meet directly in Christ the King Church, 4700 Madison Avenue, Trumbull on Friday, December 29, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
