Obituary of Marilyn A. Badolato

Marilyn A. LaCoursiere Badolato, age 83 of Shelton, entered into eternal rest on Sunday October 8, 2017 at the Connecticut Hospice with her devoted family by her side. Born in Bridgeport in 1934, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Leah LaCoursiere. Marilyn was a graduate of Harding High school class of 1952 and continued on to graduate from the Danbury State Teachers College. She began her teaching career at Lincoln School in Bridgeport and then moved on to be a fifth-grade teacher at Blackham Middle School. She proudly served the children of Bridgeport and taught for 37 years, positively impacting many young lives. In retirement, she moved to Shelton where she enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and her loving grandchildren. She was a light in life to all whose lives she touched, and she will be missed greatly. She is predeceased by her former husband Angelo Badolato of Bridgeport, her brothers, Raymond LaCoursiere of Hingham Massachusetts, and Richard LaCoursiere of Bridgeport. She is survived by her two sons; Jon Badolato of Shelton and his wife Fernanda, and their two children Ian and Luc, Andre Badolato of Monroe and his wife Mary, and their two children Andre and Kylie. She is also survived by nieces and nephews Richard LaCoursiere of Shelton, Kathy Hill of Bridgeport, Joseph Badolato, and Oreste Badolato both of Bridgeport, and Diana (Badolato) Grasso, of Walkill New York, and Clifford and Beverly LaCoursiere of Hingham Massachusetts. Funeral services will take place on Friday, October 13, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Stephen's Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Thursday from 4 – 8 p.m.
