Obituary of Rose C. D'Archangelo

Rose C. Misinonile D’Archangelo, age 94, of Shelton, beloved wife of the late Daniel J. D’Archangelo passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at Apple Rehab in Shelton with her family by her side. Born in Bridgeport on October 29, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Salvatore and Giovanna Pasquarella Misinonile. Before her retirement she worked at Phillips Medical for many years. Rose loved playing pokeno, bingo and listening to Italian music but most of all enjoyed spending time with her family.                   

Survivors include two loving daughters, Diana Falango and her husband Joseph of Shelton and Janet Petitti and her husband John of West End, NC, three brothers, Umberto, Joseph and Alfred Misinonile, two sisters, Susan Picirrillo and Helen Martinez, six grandchildren, Dennis D’Archangelo, Jr. and his wife Kourtney, Joseph Falango, Keith Falango and Toni Pavone, Paul Falango, Danielle Dubee and her fiancé Scott Waddington and Christopher Petitti and two cherished great grandchildren, Alexis Cocco and Joshua D’Archangelo as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Dennis J. D’Archangelo, a brother, Louis Misinonile and a sister, Bunny Schallbruch. The family would like to thank all the staff at Apple Rehab for all their care, compassion and the special attention they gave to Rose.

Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Joseph Church, 424 Coram Ave., Shelton on Monday, October 9, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial.  Entombment will follow in Mount St. Peter Cemetery, Derby. Family and friends may call on Sunday from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Assoc., 200 Executive, Blvd, Suite 4B, Southington, CT 06489.
