Obituary of Ana Lopes Teixeira

Ana Lopes Teixeira, age 90, of Orlando, FL and formerly of Bridgeport, beloved wife of the late Jose Teixeira, passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at Florida Hospital, East Orlando. Born in Cepeda, Montalegre, Portugal on September 16, 1927, she was the daughter of Albino Lopes and Francisca Alves Branco. Ana was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who cared deeply for her family. She unconditionally gave of herself to provide for her family and faced with limited means, she once sold all of her jewelry to pay for her children to come from Portugal. She enjoyed creating lasting memories, especially with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved her camera and enjoyed taking pictures of her loved ones. She will truly be missed and her memory will forever live in hearts of those she touched. Ana is survived by three loving children, Maria Herminia Pereira of Shelton, Albino Teixeira of Orlando, FL, and Angela Costa and her husband Eurico of Redding, 10 grandchildren, Larry Pereira and his wife Domitila, Jerry Pereira and his wife Marisa, Matthew Pereira and his wife Jessica, Tina Drongeson and her husband Lee, Joyce Teixeira and her fiancé Steve Kindl, Albino Teixeira Jr., and his fiancée Simone Freitas and Eric, Stephanie, Christina and Patricia Costa, 14 great grandchildren, Leland, Lucas, Dylan, Talia, Tyler, Lilliana, Brianna, Gabriella, Mateo, Junior, Damrius, Olivieah, Sabina, and Alexander; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter-in-law, Gina Teixeira, a son-in-law Joaquim Pereira a sister, Maria Lopes and two brothers, Alberto and Manuel Lopes. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Friday from 4 – 8 p.m.
