Obituary of Jean Marie Moramarco

Jean Marie Rosati Moramarco, age 82, of Trumbull, beloved wife of the late Jack Moramarco Sr., passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Connecticut Hospice, Branford. Born on March 2, 1935, in New York, New York, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Carmella LoFredo Rosati. Raised in the Bronx, Jean was a retired employee of American Frozen Foods and also was formerly employed by the New York Telephone Co. Affectionately known as Nonna, Jean loved spending time with her grandchildren and creating wonderful memories together. She loved to cook and was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother; the care and unconditional love she provided will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will truly be missed. Survivors include two loving children, Nicole Tortora and her husband Ken of Monroe and Jack Moramarco Jr., and his wife Jennifer; five cherished grandchildren, Olivia, Alaina, Nicholas, Gianna and Sophia; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by six siblings, brothers, Joe, Jim and Steve and sisters, Rose, Annie and Millie. The family would like to thank the staff of Lord Chamberlain Health Care and CT Hospice for the professional care and courtesy given to Jean in her time of need. Funeral services will take place on Monday, September 18, 2017 at 8:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 9:30 a.m. in St. Jude Church, Monroe for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Sunday from 1-5 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the CT Hospice Inc., 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT 06405 or the Alzheimer's Association, 200 Executive Blvd., Suite 4B, Southington, CT 06489.
