Obituary of Dominick N Palumbo

Dominick N. Palumbo, beloved husband of Patricia Mailloux Palumbo, RN, passed into the hands of God on Friday, April 28, 2017. He was born in Waterbury to his parents Elizabetta and Nicholas Palumbo. He spent 16 years in the Conn National Guard with the rank of M/Sgt. where his talents in driving heavy equipment excelled. Dom retired after 36 years of dedicated service as a supervisor at Sikorsky Aircraft. After his retirement he volunteered 4 years to the restoration of VS44, the Flying Boat which is on exhibit at the National Air Museum in Windsor. He was a genius with numbers and had the gifted hands to create and complete any project. His motto "If you can't do it right, don't do it at all." His family and friends had the greatest respect for him and he in turn felt the same toward them. Dominick passed at Bridgeport Hospital where he received the most compassionate and loving attention by the physicians and nursing personnel who managed his care. A special thank you to these physicians, Dr. G Guadagnoli, Dr. D Rudolph, Dr. C McPherson, Dr. A Nelson, Dr. D Witt, Dr. I Fotjadhi and especially to Dr. Suhas Patel, who gave him his most compassionate care. He was predeceased by his first wife, Regina "Ginger" Kudlicki, his brothers, Eraldo and Edmund Palumbo and his sister, Jennie Barillari. He had a special bond with his beloved nieces and nephews and especially his niece, Janet Barillari D'Ostilio. His friends are many and each of you know who you are, are like family for him and Pat also. God bless you, dear Dom, you are loved. Our loss is God's gain.
