Obituary of Frederick W. Sheridan, Jr.

Frederick (Buddy) Sheridan Jr, 73, of Shelton Connecticut, peacefully entered into eternal life with his family by his side on Sunday, September 11, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Bridgeport on October 8, 1942, he was the son of the late Frederick and Celeste Sheridan. He was raised in Bridgeport, CT and graduated from Bullard Havens Tech in 1960. He is the devoted husband of his beloved wife, Sally Pignataro Sheridan for 52 years. Fred and Sally resided in Lordship for over 40 years before moving to Shelton in 2005. Fred was a retired driver from Pace Motor Lines and also worked at Bridgeport Hospital, Bridgeport Brass and Ross & Roberts. Fred loved to spend the winter months in his Florida home. He had a great interest in military history and loved playing cards with his friends and taking his best friend Abby for walks. He was a fan of the Boston Red Sox and any team playing the NY Giants. He took great pride in cooking the annual Thanksgiving turkey. Fred is survived by his son, Eric (Corinne), two grandchildren, who were his pride and joy, Steven and Michelle Sheridan, sister, Patricia Siksay (Robert) and a brother, Robert (Dolores) and several nephews. He was predeceased by a nephew, Ken Siksay. Fred's family would like to thank the entire staff at Lord Chamberlain for their extraordinary care and compassion during Fred's time there. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Monday, September 19, 2016 from 4–7 p.m. at Abriola Parkview Funeral Home 419 White Plains Rd, Trumbull. Friends are invited to meet directly in Section 11 (St. Peter's Lane) in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. for graveside committal services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
