Jane F. Lathrop Pignetti, age 86, a lifelong resident of Trumbull, passed away Monday, September 4, 2017 at Bridgeport Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Thomas V. Pignetti. Born August 28, 1931 and raised in the Long Hill section of Trumbull, she was the daughter of the late Frederick A. and Mary Agnes Lynch Lathrop, predeceased by her brothers, Fred and John Lathrop and her sisters, Mary Leska, Mabel Litwin, and Leurenda Thornton.
Jane with her beautiful blue eyes, quick smile and even quicker wit was loved by all. Energetic and smart, she enjoyed working at various local law firms as a paralegal. She loved her Cape Cod summer home, travelling and her 2 ½ mile morning walks but her greatest enjoyment was found in the time she spent with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren; walking the beach, finding seashells and cooking for her brood. Our world is not as bright without the burning candle that was Jane. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her beloved husband Thomas of nearly 64 years, other survivors include her four loving children, Jane L. Holy of Bridgeport, Thomas Pignetti and his wife Jean Betkowski of Brewster, MA, Kathleen Centopani and her husband Victor of Trumbull and Robert Pignetti of Trumbull, five cherished grandchildren, Evan and his wife Erica, Elizabeth and her husband Chris, Nicholas, Alyssa and Jay and great grandchildren, Alana, Emelia, Liam and Vanessa, as well as several nieces and nephews.
